“I Love Brown Cotton” Presentation and Exhibit

Breaux Bridge—Teche Center for the Arts proudly presents “I Love Brown Cotton” Presentation and Exhibit as facilitated by the Brown Cotton Man, Breaux Bridge resident Jerry Hale. The story of brown cotton in Acadiana is very rich and important to our Acadian culture. Acadiana Brown Cotton of Louisiana was started to promote agriculture in the state, encourage hand spinning and weaving, provide educational programs for adults and youth, and preserve historical Acadian textile patterns. Come experience the story and share yours. See the history of Brown Cotton…grown right here in the Teche region. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind, educational and fun event.

The $5 admission fee supports TCA’s Mission to provide and present educational Cajun and Creole cultural and historical experiences to the people of Saint Martin Parish. All ages welcome. Authentic Brown Cotton products will be for sale.
