5th Annual Treble on the Teche
Teche Center for the Arts in downtown Breaux Bridge presents its fifth annual music, arts, and culture camp for children ages 7-13, Treble on the Teche. Treble on the Teche will take place at TCA, located at 210 E. Bridge St., on Nov. 25-27, 2019, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Treble on the Teche culminates in a musical performance by the students and musical instructors at TCA On Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 4 p.m. The final event is free and open to all. Parents are encouraged to register their child early as this is a very popular and one-of-a-kind camp experience.
Renowned musician and teacher Brazos Huval, camp coordinator, has gathered together accomplished musicians and artists in Acadiana to teach area youth at this camp. Artistic and Cultural Instructors include Chad Huval, Zach Huval, Gina Forsyth, Jan Boney, and Susan Leblanc Morrogh, among others.
Each day will consist of classes from a variety of disciplines (music, art, dance, and Louisiana French language). Students can learn percussion, accordion, guitar, and fiddle. Lunch will be provided by area restaurants.
Treble on the Teche is a unique opportunity for students, musicians, artists, volunteers, and the community to share our rich and diverse Cajun and Creole culture. Teche Center for the Arts is designed to be the primary artistic home, heart and soul of Breaux Bridge and St. Martin Parish.
